Brent provided leadership in the Veterans Center, including recruiting students, cultivating donor support, and identifying
new ways that Vanguard can better serve the veteran population. He also serves as the  primary contact with elected
officials and civic organizations. Brent is a veteran of the marine corps and a Vanguard University graduate.

Justin oversees the student services coordinators, the Veterans Center, and works closely with student issues to ensure student retention. Justin is also the Chair of the Admissions Committee as well as the Student Advisory Board. Justin received his BA in Business – Organizational Management through Vanguard University’s SPS program. He brings to the team, seven years of management experience from several service-driven industries. Justin is driven to provide each and every student with a memorable SPS experience.

Dominica is Vanguard’s V.A. Primary Certifying Official. She processes all paperwork for students receiving V.A. Education Benefits, offers one-on-one benefits counseling/advising, coordinates special events, and helps advise the Veteran Student Club. Dominica completed her BA in Communication Studies and Sociology from Vanguard University. She is passionate about diversity programming and student development in higher education. In her spare time, Dominica enjoys traveling abroad, volunteering, painting, and film.

Mia Grajeda

Mia tracks and follows up with prospective SPS and Veteran students through the application process and is responsible for student recruitment at college fairs and corporate events.  Mia also interviews and guides students through the steps necessary to starting the School for Professional Studies program by performing comprehensive education counseling and providing transcript evaluations. Mia has earned her BA degree in Psychology from Vanguard University of Southern California.

Marci attended University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated with a B.A. in Sociology. Marci then moved on to California State University, Long Beach where she graduated with a M.S. in School Counseling. Marci developed a love for higher education and decided to join the admissions team at VU. Marci is excited about working at Vanguard and encourages students to take advantage of all the wonderful opportunities Vanguard has to offer. In her spare time, Marci enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling and trying new restaurants.
